British Admiral visits the German Naval Memorial in Laboe
On Tuesday, 25 June, Vice Admiral Peter Hudson, CBE, Commander Allied Maritime Command in Northwood, UK, visited the German Naval Memorial in Laboe near Kiel. He was given a guided tour by Dr. Jann M. Witt, Historian of the German Naval Association, through the Memorial, the historical exhibition and U995, the last surviving German Type VII-Uboat of WWII.
The sightseeing in Laboe was part of a official journey to Kiel, where Vice Admiral Hudson visited the Centre of Excellence for Operations in Confined and Shallow Waters" (COE CSW) and the Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group One (SNMCMG 1), which is under his command.
